PURPOSE:To obtain a protective film which is colorless and transparent, has good adhesiveness to color polarizing films and has the substantial durability to the conditions for forming a transparent electrode film and an oriented film for a liquid crystal on said protective film by using a coated film consisting of ladder type polysiloxane having an org. group as the protective film for the color polarizing films. CONSTITUTION:The soln. prepd. by dissolving the ladder type polysiloxane having the org. group expressed by the formula in an org. solvent is coated on the optical polarizing film and is then dried at an ordinary temp. or under heating to form the protective film which is colorless and has the good transparency and heat resistance for the color polarizing films. For example, the soln. prepd. by dissolving the phenyl ladder type polysiloxane of the terminal cage type having 1X10<5> weight average mol.wt. in benzene is coated on the color polarizing films R, G, B...11 formed on the inside surface of a transparent substrate 1 and is dried at an ordinary temp. to form the protective film 2 for the optical polarizing filters. |
