PURPOSE:To provide a constant-speed travel control device for a vehicle capable of correctly controlling the travel speed by performing the shift down or shift up of the gear position of a transmission in response to the travel resistance of the vehicle by the grade of a road surface and the weight of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A constant-speed control device is constituted of a control quantity integrating means 27 receiving the signal from a gear ratio change judging means 26, integrating the control quantity, and simulating the change of the driving force and a gear ratio change judging means 26 receiving the speed deviation, outputting the signal to change the gear ratio to an automatic speed change means 28 when the speed deviation becomes a preset value or above, and outputting the signal to return the gear ratio to the original value again when the speed deviation acceleration and integrated quantity become the preset values or below. |
