PURPOSE:To uniform thickness distribution and fiber distribution even when a fiber composite sheet is thin by promoting the opening of reinforced fiber bundles by spraying air mixed with powdered thermoplastic resin, attaching a powdered thermoplastic resin onto each monofilament, heating and melting the resin and forming the monofilaments into a sheet. CONSTITUTION:Reinforcing fiber bundles F1 composed of a large number of continuous monofilaments are passed in contact with a convex surface 7 of a blow-off member 1 of specified length. Air A mixed with powdered thermoplastic-resin is sprayed against the reinforced fiber bundles F1 from the whole of the both end closed grooves 8 made in the convex surface 7 extending in the longitudinal direction of the blow-off member 1 and having blowout holes 9 bored in the bottom at regular intervals and the opening of the reinforced fiber bundles F1 is promoted by the spraying, and powdered thermoplastic resin is attached onto each monofilament and captured among mutual monofilaments. The thermoplastic resin of opened resin attached fibers F2 is heated and melted and the monofilaments are formed into a sheet, thus acquiring the fiber composite sheet. |
