A polyester resin composition which is a polyethylene terephthalate resin composition containing isophthalic acid units, cyclohexanedimethanol units, and/or naphthalenedicarboxylic acid units in an amount of 0.5 to 4.5 mol% based on the total amount of all structural units, and in which the contents of a cobalt compound and a phosphorus compound satisfy the following relationships (1) and (2): 25 Sm(F) CCo </= 150 (1) Cp/CCo </= 0.07 (2) [wherein CCo represents the content of the cobalt compound (mmol%) in terms of cobalt atom amount based on the total molar amount of the dicarboxylic acid units contained in the polyester resin; and Cp represents the content of the phosphorus compound (mmol%) in terms of phosphorus atom amount based on the total molar amount of the dicarboxylic acid units contained in the polyester resin]. The polyester resin composition has resistance to hydrogen peroxide and is excellent in transparency, mechanical properties, heat resistance, flavor-barrier properties, gas-barrier properties, etc. It is suitable for producing hollow containers, such as bottles, and other moldings. |
