PURPOSE:To obtain excellent running properties at the time of printing, recording image quality and storage stability by adding a silicone resin powder having a silsesquioxane structure to the heat-resistant slip layer arranged to the other surface of a base material having a thermal transfer ink layer arranged to one surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer ink sheet is constituted by providing a thermal transfer ink layer to at least one surface of a base material and providing a heat-resistant slip layer to the other surface thereof. In this case, a silicone resin powder having a silsesquioxane structure is added to the heat-resistant slip layer. The mean particle size of the silicone resin powder is set to 5mum or less and the compounding amount thereof in the heat-resistant slip layer is set to 0.5-60vol.%. A metal salt powder of higher fatty acid and/or a metal salt powder of phosphoric ester may be added to the heat-resistant slip layer along with the silicone resin powder. Further, the mixing ratio of the silicone resin powder and the metal salt powder is set to 5wt.% or more. |
