摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the subject hollow fiber capable of being readily dyed, exhibiting good water absorbability and soft touch by a weight-reducing treatment using an alkali and useful for woven fabrics, etc., by drawing a specific nondrawn hollow fiber at a temperature below its crystallization temperature so as to give a residual elongation, and subsequently treating the drawn fiber thermally. CONSTITUTION:The nondrawn hollow fiber produced by melt-spinning a polyester containing <=95wt.% of polyethylene terephthalate through a hollow spinneret so as to give a hollow rate of 10-30% is drawn at a temperature below the crystallization temperature of the nondrawn fiber in such a drawing ratio as to give a residual elongation of 70-90%, and the drawn fiber is thermally treated at a temperature above the glass transition temperature of the nondrawn fiber and below the crystallization temperature thereof under a tension ratio of 1.001-1.040 times to provide the objective fiber which generates many transversal grooves 1 reaching its hollow part 2 by a weight-reducing treatment using an alkali.
