PURPOSE:To obtain a heat transfer recording medium which is free from generation of sticking phenomena and blocking phenomena and excellent in shelf stability and printing quality by providing a heat, transferable ink layer on the upper surface of a supporting body and also providing a heat resistant protective layer formed of a parabanic acid-based polymer on the rear surface of the supporting body. CONSTITUTION:A heat transferable ink layer is provided on the upper surface of a supporting body and also a heat resistant protective-layer formed of a parabanic acid-based polymer is provided on the rear surface of the supporting body. The parabanic acid-based polymer is the parabanic acid polymer having a repeated unit shown in a formula (R1 shows bivalent group having at least 2 C. (n) shows integer of >=2). As a result, generation of sticking phenomena can be sufficiently prevented. Further even when a heat transfer recording medium is conserved in a roll state for a long period or at high temperature, it can be inhibited that the constitutional component of the heat resistant protective layer is migrated on the surface of an ink layer and blocking phenomena are generated. Furthermore the heat resistant protective layer can be inhibited from being chipped by frictional force of a thermal head. |
