PURPOSE:To enable quantification of the concentration of an object substance without being affected by a disturbing substance by forming a working electrode of two electrode parts and by bringing a liquid sample into contact with the discrete working electrode parts sequentially at a certain time interval. CONSTITUTION:Carbon electrodes 1 and 1' with silver lead wires 2 are formed on a sheet-like substrate 3 made of polyethylene terephthalate(PET). A spacer 4 made of the PET and having spaces 8 to 10 for holding a liquid to be inspected is stuck thereon. Next, potassium ferricyanide is disposed as a solid phase in the whole of the spaces 8 to 10. Moreover, enzyme and potassium ferricyanide are disposed as solid phases on the electrode 1' in the space 10. Accordingly, the enzyme is disposed in one of the two electrode parts and it is not disposed in the other electrode part. In order to measure an ascorbic acid or the like, an object substance, by the time when a sample reaches the electrode part whereon the enzyme is disposed, a flow passage of the sample connecting the electrodes in a plurality is provided so that the sample be supplied at a certain time interval.
