<p>PURPOSE: To provide a method and apparatus for producing foamed and molded thermoplastic resin articles, which keeps uniform density of the foam and completeness of cells of the foam, and can reproduce even complex design of female mold section. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus is constituted of a preparation device and a mold 20. The preparation device is equipped with a die orifice. A block of melted foaming thermoplastic resin is prepared under pressure and temperature to inhibit foaming of the melted matter and extruded into a space under low pressure through the orifice. The mold 20 catches the extruded melted matter into mutually movable two mold cells 21, 22 to form the foam during the extruded melted matter is flowed down from the preparation device and expanded up to be the foam.</p> |
