The profile is limited by spaced transverse bars (6,7) and a parallel side bar (8). The side bars support the pane and have a plastic-elastic sealing material (9). The area with the sealing material has a different level against the pane. An inclined bridging bar (10) fits between the outer transverse bar (6) and the side bars. The side bars have an extension bar (11) against the inner transverse bar (7), which lies against the pane when fitted. The extension bar has a first support point for the pane spaced from its edge area connected to the spacer profile. The intermediate space between the first support point and the edge area (12) between the extension bar and the pane is filled with sealing material.
