embossing treatment of a woven or knitted fabric composed of fine-denier yarns in a way that the water content of the fabric be 20-100 % at the embossing roller whose surface temp. satisfies the following equation Tc + 10 deg.C <= Tr <= Tc + 90 deg.C (where Tc; recrystallization temp. of polymer, Tr; surface temp. of the embossing roller), after scouring the fabric and befoe dyeing it. The method improves the slippage property of the high-density fabric by lowering the friction coefficient of the fabric surface, while leaving intact of the smooth touch of the fabric.
