PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crimping device that can steadily crimp a cable to a crimp terminal supported by an insulation. SOLUTION: The crimping device 1 is equipped with a plate holding portion 11, an identification portion 12, a plate feeding portion 13, a cable holding portion 15, and a cable pressing portion 16. The plate holding portion 11 holds a crimping plate mounted with a JB crimp terminal. The identification portion 12 identifies a product number of the crimping plate. The plate feeding portion 13 moves the plate holding portion 11 toward the left in the Fig. The cable holding portion 15 holds a cable in a state opposed to the cable housing groove of the crimping plate. The cable holding portion 15 holds the cable extending in a straight line shape surrounding the outer periphery of the cable. The cable pressing portion 16 crimps the cable held by the cable holding portion 15 to the JB crimp terminal mounted on the crimping plate.
