PURPOSE:To provide the subject new antibiotic leaving both immunosuppressive activity and antibacterial activity. CONSTITUTION:It has been recognized that an antibiotic having high immunosuppressive activity can be produced and accumulated in a culture solution of microorganisms belonging to Amycolatopsis newly separated from soil. This substance was isolated and named M1710-51F6 substance. This substance is a new compound having both immunosuppressive activity and the high antibacterial activity on Gram-positive bacteria; however, its chemical structure has not been determined yet.
