PURPOSE:To obtain an inspecting apparatus for the external appearance of a color film which dispenses with input of the color sort number of a tape and also copes properly with deterioration of a light source at all times. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup means A for picking up an image of the surface of a color film 13, a body to be inspected, and a processing means B for processing an image signal outputted from this image pickup means A are provided. Moreover, an alarm output part 9 which outputs the determination of abnormality obtained from processing by the processing means B, for an alarm, ND filters 14 regulating the quantity of incident light from the color film 13, a driving device 15 driving these ND filters 14 to rotate, and an ND filter selecting means C for selecting the ND filters 14 by judging the optimum condition of the quantity of the incident light, are provided. |
