<p>Provision is made for a combination of flow-guiding devices to be designed in such a way that a partial propeller casing is arranged as a saddle nozzle above the propeller like the top part of a Kort nozzle and is stiffened owing to the fact that roughly horizontal or radial guiding surfaces situated in front of or behind the propeller statically form a unit with the saddle nozzle so that the rigidity of the saddle nozzle and the strength of the flow-guiding surfaces are increased. At the nozzle part of the system of flow-guiding surfaces, the distance from the tip circle of the propeller blades in the inlet and outlet area of the propeller blades is increased to reduce the vibrations which are caused by the thrust pulses circulating with the propeller-blade tips. <IMAGE></p> |
