The invention relates to a display stand system of the type which supports essentially rectangular images 3 for exhibitions, advertising or the like, which system comprises at least one preferably collapsible stand A, B, C, on which said images are intended to be mounted edge to edge along at least one horizontal or vertical row. The display stand system comprises at least one means 5, 5', 6 connecting two adjacent images 3, 3' edge to edge, which preferably consists of strips mounted in the stand with longitudinally extending magnetic bands applied, which are mounted on the rear side of both the strips and the images.
