PURPOSE:To surely prevent slip out of a module cover while an air bag is in operation. CONSTITUTION:A module cover 18 is fitted to an air bag in a manner of laying a leg piece portion 18a on an elected portion 16 of a retainer 10. The two are secured by means of a rivet 20 piercing through the erected portion 16 and the leg piece portion 18a. The outer surface of the leg piece portion 18a has a recessed portion top fit a head portion 20A of the rivet 20. Thus the stress applied to the leg piece portion 18a toward the slipping out direction when the module cover is uncovered is resisted also by the head portion 20A of the rivet 20 causing to positively prevent the leg piece portion from slipping out. It also has such effect as reducing the number of rivets and making the rivet diameter smaller. |
