PURPOSE:To attain efficient translation work by searching a sentence including the same word existing in a document at the time of changing a translation word for a certain word and retranslating only a sentence required to be retranslated. CONSTITUTION:In addition to the functions of a convensional machine translator, an input means 1 is provided with a function for specifying the change of a translation word corresponding to a certain word, and when the translation word of the certain word is changed, a sentence including the word is retrieved by a specified word retrieving means 5. When a retranslation specifying means 6 specifies whether the retrieved sentence is to be retranslated or not, a retranslation control means 7 retranslates only the sentence to be retranslated which is specified by the means 6 to a sentence in which the word string is changed to a translation word. |
