PURPOSE:To prevent oil perfectly from seeping in a battery surface and also an outflow of an electrolyte by coating the total parts, where the oil tends to crawl up to the outside, with liquid absorbing paper. CONSTITUTION:A wall surface 14 is provided in the peripheral edge of a rubber-made exhaust valve 3 mounted to a valve unit part 2a of a center cover 2. Oil is applied between the valve 3 and the valve unit part 2a in order to complete stable valve opening and holding of air-tightness. A plane part 5 is provided in the upper part of the wall surface 4, a rib 6 is provided in a peripheral edge part of the plane part 5, to form a corner part 12 of bringing the plane part 5 into contact with an internal wall 6a of this rib 6 into a curved surface, and a plurality of protrusive parts 7a are provided on the plane part 5 so as to prevent contact with the rib internal wall 6a. For perfectly sucking oil accumulated in the corner part 12, liquid absorbing paper 8 in dimension equal to or a little larger than the internal dimension AXB is mounted so as to closely touch the plane part 5. Thickness of the paper 8 is set a little larger than height of the protrusive part 7a, a cover 10 of plane dimension equal to the paper 8 is inserted to a recessed part surrounded by the rib internal wall surface 6a, and an upper surface of the paper 10 is compressed to secure an energy director 10b. |
