<p>PURPOSE:To enhance energy recovery efficiency as high as possible through regenerative brake in a motor vehicle wherein a battery is charged with power generated from a motor when a drive wheel coupled therewith is subjected to regenerative brake. CONSTITUTION:A drive wheel, i.e., a rear wheel Wr, is driven by means of a motor 2 connected with a battery 1 through a transmission 3. A brake ECU 7 operates regenerative energy produceable at current shift position, regenerative energy produceable when down shift is made from current shift position, and regenerative energy produceable when up shift is made from current shift position. Operation results are then compared each other in order to determine a shift position where maximum regenerative energy can be obtained. A motor transmission control ECU 6 then shifts the transmission 3 to a position where maximum regenerative energy can be obtained based on an output signal from the brake ECU 7.</p> |
