PURPOSE:To reduce the total cost of a video transmission system. CONSTITUTION:A 1st photoelectric conversion means 2 converts a video signal subject to frequency multiplex by a 1st modulation system into a high output optical signal. An optical branch means 3 branches an output of the 1st photoelectric conversion means 2 into plural outputs. Plural 2nd photoelectric conversion conversion means 61-6n converts the video signal subject to frequency multiplex by a 2nd modulation system into an optical signal. Plural adder means 71-7n add an output of the optical branch means 3 and outputs of the 2nd photoelectric conversion conversion means 61-6n.
