PURPOSE:To continue the start-up processing of a system by ignoring an error- detected part and setting default values held in a system program. CONSTITUTION:A default file when present on a fixed disk device 8 or floppy disk device 9 is read out and transferred to a buffer 4a in a RAM 4. Then the default file is analyzed according to the transferred contents of the buffer 4a. It is decided whether or not the default file has an error and when an analytic error is detected, a message indicating that is displayed on a CRT 5. In this case, when an operator inputs a command indicating an error skip on a keyboard 7, the error is ignored and the default values held in the system program, i.e., default values in a ROM 3 are set thereafter in an initial value table 4b in the RAM 4. |
