PURPOSE:To obtain the toner sealing device which can direct removed residual toners toward the toner recovering part in the device without leaking these toners to the outside of the cleaning device. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning device has a cleaning means 4 which removes the untransferred toners remaining on the surface of an image carrying member 1 after transfer from the surface, a recovering means 10 which recovers the removed toners, a housing 12 which includes these means and a leakage preventive seal 14 which is joined at its base end to the lower end edge of the aperture of the housing facing the outer peripheral surface of the image carrying member and prevents the leakage of the toners removed and dropped by the cleaning means to the outside of the aperture by coming into elastic contact with the surface of the image carrying member. A downflow path forming means 15 having a downflow path to allow the dropped toners to flow down is fixed to the inner flank of the leakage preventive seal 14 of the cleaning device. |
