摘要 PURPOSE:To provide an electric automobile employing a permanent magnet motor as a drive source wherein regenerative brake torque is constantly controlled to a required level. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet motor 1 employs a variable discharge resistor 5 for regeneration. Resistance R of the variable discharge resistor 5 is controlled to satisfy a relation R=K4N. N is the number of revolution of the permanent magnet motor 1 and represents actual regenerative brake torque. K4 is a proportional constant representing a regenerative brake torque demanded for the permanent magnet motor 1. Regenerative brake torque 7 of the permanent magnet motor 1 is constantly controlled to match with the demanded regenerative brake torque.
