PURPOSE:To enable a user to simply select a function by constituting this function selecting system of a key input part, storage part, power supply part, display part, and control part. CONSTITUTION:The system is constituted of the key input part 6 provided with a function selecting mode key, the storage part 2, the power supply part 8, the display part 7, and the control part 1 for controlling respective parts of a word processor. When the function selecting mode key having action for shifting a current mode to an operation mode for selecting a function is depressed, the function selecting mode is set up. When a word capable of easily expressing the function is inputted, a keyboard picture is outputted to a display screen for displaying the guide of a key necessary for the selection of the function. Then the key is depressed in accordance with the guide display and a sub-program 4 for executing the function concerned is accessed. Consequently a function required to be executed can be selected only by depressing its corresponding key on the keyboard. |
