PURPOSE:To achieve higher working efficiency by a method wherein an insulation test is conducted at a low voltage and when the test results are acceptable, the insulation test is conducted at a high voltage subsequently without cutting a test voltage. CONSTITUTION:A pair of connection pins 2 connected to test elements (a) and (b) are selected and switches 6a and 7b are turned ON to the pair of connection pins 2 to apply a test voltage at a low voltage. An insulation resistance between the connection pins 2 is measured and checked with an ammeter 9 and a voltmeter 10. When the test results are acceptable, the insulation test is conducted continually at a high voltage without turning OFF the low voltage. When the results of the low voltage test are not acceptable, a poor insulation point is determined to exist between connection members and the high voltage test should not be carried out. |
