The present invention relates to a system for line scanning of a cathode-ray tube, comprising an adjustable supply source having a first and a second terminal between which are arranged a unidirectional switch, a diode in anti-parallel mode, a return capacitor, and the series connection of an inductance scanning coil and of a scanning capacitor. The capacitance of the capacitor is chosen to be sufficiently high so as substantially not to influence the linearity of the scanning current, and an S-correction effect is provided by insertion into the said series connection of two saturable coils (11, 12), in series, biased (15) so as to enter respectively into saturation for positive and negative values of the scanning current. <IMAGE>
