PURPOSE:To easily execute KANJI (Chinese character) conversion at the time of inputting a normal character in the Japanese syllabary to a position to which a small character for a contracted sound is to be inputed and vice versa. characters are CONSTITUTION:Plural KANA (Japanese syllabary) characters are inputted through a keyboard 7. The inputted KANA characters are converted into KANJI characters by a KANJI conversion mechanism 4 and the converted contents are sent to a character display mechanism 3. Then whether the inputted KANA characters can be converted into a contracted sound or no is not judged by a contacted sound judging mechanism 5, and when the conversion is possible, the contents are converted into a contracted sound by a contracted sound conversion mechanism 2 and the converted contents are sent to the mechanism 3. The contracted sound conversion result is displayed on a display device 6 together with the KANJI conversion candidates sent from the mechanism 4. When the KANA character converted by the mechanism 2 is specified, a KANJI conversion request is outputted from a contracted sound/KANJI conversion instructing mechanism 8 to the mechanism 4, sent to the mechanism 3 and displayed on the device 6. When any one of the converted 'KANJI' candidates, the 'KANJI' character is determined to end the processing. |
