PURPOSE:To obtain a vibration wave motor having a small torque variation at the time of a high temperature and a heavy load and having high abrasion resistance, by making the composite resin layer of the contact surface of the rotor out of composite resin containing an abrasion improving agent, and an abrasion adjusting agent as occasion demands, and making the friction surface of the vibrating body by the use of a multilayer film out of an intermetallic compound of Ni. CONSTITUTION:A group 1 of piezoelectric elements are fixed to the rear of a vibrating body board 2, and a lot of grooves are cut in an impulse surface on the front side. The group 1 of piezoelectric elements is polarized into group A and group B; AC voltages whose phases are different by 90 degrees from each other are applied; a progressive vibration wave is generated on the surface of the vibrating body 2; a movable body 7 touched and pressed is driven by friction, and an output shaft 10 is rotated by the medium of an intermediate member 15. The movable body 7 is composed of a supporting material 5 and an impulse surface 6 bonded on its surface with a heat-resistant epoxy adhesive agent. And the composite resin layer of the impulse body 6 is made of composite resin containing an abrasion improving agent, and an abrasion adjusting agent as occasion demands. Besides, the friction surface of the impulse body 2 is made of a multilayer film out of an intermetallic compound of nickel. |
