<p>PURPOSE:To improve the fixability, color mixability and offset resistance in thermal fixing by using a binder resin with the clouding value of the resin dispersion specified. CONSTITUTION:This electrostatic charge image developing toner contains at least a colorant and a binder resin, and the clouding value of the dispersion of the binder resin is controlled to 7-30%. The toner becomes more transparent as the clouding value decreases, and this means that the opaque part in solvent, i.e., the aggregate insoluble in the solvent or weakly cross-linked material, is not present in the mixed solvent. Conversely, the higher clouding value means that a large amt. of an opaqueness forming component is present or the resin is highly cross-linked. A polyester resin is preferably used as the binder resin from the standpoint of fixability and developability, and an aromatic dicarboxylic acid such as terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid is used as the bivalent acid component constituting the polyester resin.</p> |
