PURPOSE:To provide the DRAW type CD which can be produced without selectively application of dyestuff and has a ROM region. CONSTITUTION:This information recording medium is constituted by successively providing a light absorption layer 2 essentially consisting of the dyestuff, a light reflection layer 3 and a protective layer 4 on a substrate 1 previously provided with the ROM region having prepits and guide grooves and a recordable region having guide grooves on the surface. The prepits 6 of the ROM region are formed in the land parts between the guide grooves 5 and 5. The depths of the prepits and the guide grooves as well as the depths of the prepits and guide grooves at the boundary between the light absorption layer 2 and the reflection layer 3 are so controlled that the optical phase differences of the prepit parts and guide groove parts of the ROM region the guide groove parts of the recordable region attain respectively specific ranges. |
