PURPOSE: To make filling density uniform, improve reproducibility of quality, and enable filling of absorbent having very different grain diameters, by introducing absorbent suspending in eluate into a column, and performing pressure filtration. CONSTITUTION: Absorbent suspension is maintained in the state of suspension in a vessel 1 by a stirring equipment 2, and introduced into a column 10 by a pump 6, through a valve 4 and a conduit tube 8. The density of the suspension is adjusted by opening a valve 4 and mixing eluate from a vessel 3. The suspension is preferably introduced into the column 10, under the pressure up to 900 bar. The operation pressure of the pressure filtration is measured by using a pressure gauge 7. The absorbent gathers in the column 10 on a disk annealed on the lower end. The eluate returns to the vessel 1 and/or the vessel 3 through valves 11 and 9. By the filling method which is continuous and capable of atomization, uniform filling density is realized, and quality of column filling has high reproducibility. |
