PURPOSE:To avoid the influence of glitch of a D/A converter in recording or erasing by preventing a change of set value of laser beam strength during recording or erasing. CONSTITUTION:In this optical disk device, the reference value of a laser beam strength is set, the setting value is converted into analog signal by the D/A converter 2, and the laser emitting element 4 is driven based on the reference value converted into analog signal, furthermore, this optical disk device is constituted of the sector mark detecting means 8 which detects a sector mark stored in the magneto-optical disk 6 and the CPU 1 which sets the reference value of the laser beam strength within specified time from the time of detecting by the sector mark detecting means. |
