PURPOSE:To easily realize the prevention of the erasure of write-in data at the time of occurrence of a fault while making a device compact. CONSTITUTION:A disk cache device 4 is equipped with a memory card 41 with a battery backup which can be attached and detached by a connector 44. The write-in data requested from a host device 1 are written in the memory card 41 by using the pertinent memory card 41 as a cache memory for a write back, and at the time of replacing the disk cache device 4 in which the fault occurs with the normal device, the memory card 41 is attached to the normal device, so that the content of the cache memory just before the occurrence of the fault can be restored. |
