PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device by which high image quality, long service life and high reliability are attained at a high level. SOLUTION: In the image forming device provided with a photoreceptor, an electrifier to uniformly electrify the surface of the photoreceptor, an image exposure device to form an electrostatic latent image by performing image exposure after uniformly electrifying the image, a developing device to develop the electrostatic latent image and a device to transfer a developed image, the photoreceptor is constituted of a photoreceptive layer 34 containing at least an electric charge generating substance and an electric charge transporting substance through an intermediate layer 33 on a conductive supporting body 32 and a protective layer 35 consisting of at least a filler and a binder resin, the total thickness of a photoreceptive layer film and a protective layer film is defined as <=25μm, and the laser beam whose wavelength is <=670 nm is used in the image exposure device to be used for the image exposure.
