PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an engine production cost by disposing a balancer device and a main oil gallery near the underside of a crankshaft without allowing them to be interfered with each other to facilitate the formation of a journal oil passage, and reduce the size and weight of an engine by stably supporting the balancer device to increase a damping effect. SOLUTION: In this parallel multi-cylinder engine 13, the partial district of the main oil gallery 52 formed inside a lower case 28 forming a crank case 25 is divided, both end parts of the divided district are connected to each other through a bypass pipe 85, the bypass pipe 85 is formed in an approximate U- shape curved downward, at least a part of the balancer device 70 drivingly rotated by the crankshaft 37 is disposed inside the approximate U-shape, and the main oil gallery 52 and the balancer device 70 are overlapped with each other as viewed in the axial direction of the crankshaft 37.
