PURPOSE:To simplify a cooler by using a specific polarizing film for a liquid crystal, thereby eliminating the need for positively cooling the liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION:The polarizing film of the liquid crystal panel is constituted by a polyester resin and dichromatic dyes as polarization color developing materials. Illumination is disposed on one surface side of the liquid crystal panel formed by using the polarizing film and a lens for magnifying the display is disposed on the other surface. Since the highbrightness illumination is used for the illumination for projection The liquid crystal is put into a continuous heating state but the clear display stable over a long period of time is enabled without positive cooling even under the continuous heating condition by using such polarizing film having the excellent heat resistance. Since the capacity of the cooler of the liquid crystal panel can be decreased or eliminated, the liquid crystal projector itself is formed compact. Further, the reduction in electric power consumption is possible. Heat radiating fins, etc., are preferably provided at the end of the liquid crystal for the purpose of protecting the liquid crystal. |
