PURPOSE:To enable the continuous detection of hydrogen isotope in a member by providing a cylindrical hole from the external wall surface side, then providing hydrogen isotope detectors in this cylindrical hole, and pulling out signal cables from these detectors to monitor. CONSTITUTION:Plasma 1 with the mixed gas of deuterium and tritium, which are hydrogen isotope, as discharge gas is confined stably inside a container 2 by the confining magnetic field formed at a toroidal coil 11 and a poloidal coil 12. Hydrogen isotope detectors 3 are provided at plural places of the member of the container 2. Signal cables 4 are pulled out piercing a shielding body 13 from the detectors 3 and connected to a monitor 5 provided at a place away from a nuclear fusion device body. The ion of the hydrogen isotope injected into the member of the container 2 from the plasma 1 is partially held in a vacuum container member and detected by the detectors 3 provided in the member, so that the hydrogen isotope in the member can be confirmed by the monitor 5 without the danger of exposure by tritium. |
