PURPOSE:To perform stable control in terms of accuracy by reducing a time constant in a discharge route, and when the extent of condenser discharge voltage becomes less than the specified level, putting this discharge route back to the origin. CONSTITUTION:This induction heater is provided with a heating coil 5, a resonance condenser 6, a switching element 8, a drive means 10, a simultaneous pulse generating means 11, a power control means 27, and a processor means 13, respectively. This condenser 6 constitutes a resonance circuit 7, and the drive means 10 controls the switching element 8. In addition, the pulse generating means 11 generates a timing pulse tuning the element 8 to ON by a voltage between a collector and an emitter of the switching element 8, and the power control means 27 outputs a control signal to the drive means 10. Then the processor means 13 sets power by operation of a user's key 12. Here the power control means 27 alters a discharge route and reduces a time constant when condenser charge time to be set by the element 8 is varied according to a level of the processor means 13, and thereby the discharge voltage becomes more than the specified level. Moreover, when it becomes less than the specified level, the discharge route is put back to the origin, thus a range from low power to high power is stably controllable in an accurate manner. |
