PURPOSE:To shorten the time for registering processing and adjusting processing by annexing a contactless storage medium storing commodity information to each commodity and reading out the commodity information from the medium annexed to the purchased commodity. CONSTITUTION:When a commodity purchased by a customer is carried to a gate device 3, a guide 9 stores the commodity so as to take out it, and in the stored state, commodity information is read out from a contactless storage medium annexed to the commodity. An adjusting device 10 executes adjusting processing based upon the read commodity information, and after completing the adjusting processing, the commodity is released from the stored state of the guide 9 and can be taken out from the gate device 3. Thereby the reading processing and registering processing of the commodity information in adjusting operation can be automated. Consequently clerk's work is made unnecessary, time required for adjusting work can be shortened and service for customers can be improved. |
