PURPOSE:To reduce installation cost by constructing a track of nonmagnetic conductive reaction plates, driving a rotary body alternately arranged with different magnetic poles, and feeding externally collected power to means being driven with varying field transversing the reaction plates. CONSTITUTION:Tracks on opposite sides are constructed of nonmagnetic conductive reaction plates 8 such as aluminum or copper plates. A current collector 1 is disposed at the lower part of a body 9 traveling on the tracks while levitating and power collected, through contact or noncontact, from a power supply laid in parallel with the tracks is fed to a controller 2, a cooling system 3 and a drive mechanism 7. The drive mechanism 7 rotates a superconducting magnet alternately arranged with different poles to produce levitation force, thrust and guide force with respect to the reaction plates 8. The cooling system 8 comprises a plurality of stages of cooling cycle for cooling the superconducting magnet and the controller 2 controls the cooling cycle. According to the constitution, structure is simplified and installation cost is reduced. |
