PURPOSE:To expose an org. electrophotographic sensitive body having low cycle characteristics, especially low residual potential with a red light emitting diode. CONSTITUTION:In this electrophotographic method using an electrophotographic sensitive body obtd. by forming a photosensitive layer contg. at least one kind of perylene pigment represented by formula I or II on a substrate, a red light emitting diode is used as a light source in a part or the whole of a process for exposing the electrophotographic sensitive body.
