PURPOSE:To enable a zero-point error to be detected and compensated easily and positively by turning on power of an electrical circuit for a torque sensor, comparing a torque signal value after a certain amount of time passes with a set value, determining it to be a zero-point abnormality if the set value is exceeded, and using the signal value as a zero-point value of detection torque signal if it is equal to or less than the set value. CONSTITUTION:A torque signal (V1-V2)t0 at a lapse of a certain amount of time t0 after power is turned on is stored in memory. When the absolute value is equal to or less than a set value alpha0. the succeeding torque value is calculated with (V1-V2)t0 as a zero point. On the other hand, when the absolute value exceeds the set value alpha0 it is judged to be the zero-point abnormality and then a zero-point abnormality signal is output. When the torque signal (V1-V2)t is not larger than a first zero-point memory (V1-V2) by a certain value or more, the torque signal (V1-V2)t does not change greatly within a certain amount of time TO. and it does not vibrate. a zero-point memory value Vzero is updated to be Vzero=(V1-V2)t0+T and the zero-point value is compensated at a lapse of a certain amount of time T at time t0. |
