Body=side reflective ornamental mouldings on motor vehicles - are coated with material reproducing effect of reflecting spokes of wheels for better visibility in motion

A strip (1) is moulded on each side of the vehicle throughout its length. It is coated for safety reasons with light-reflecting material which has a visual effect similar to that of reflecting wheel spokes. The mouldings may be mfd. to any suitable width of either plastics or metal, and assembled in the same way as conventional non-reflecting strips. ADVANTAGE - Moving and stationary vehicles are more easily distinguishable esp. at unlit crossings on country roads. Lateral clearances in two-way traffic are more visible, and the coated mouldings enhance the styling of cars.
