Testing degree of penetration of pigment into textile - using printing machine which can also be used to produce counter-proof strip

The appts. for testing the degree of penetration of a pigment into a printed textile (12) consists of a mixing chamber with inlets (3) and (4) for the pigment and the moistening medium. The pigment is applied by a transfer roller (8), an applicator roller (9), a printing form cylinder (10) and a printing cylinder (11) which prints on the piece of textile (12). The appts. can be used for producing a counter-proof strip which is wrapped around the printing form cylinder (10). The printing form cylinder (10) is then swung downwards to bring it into contact with the textile (12) while the printing cylinder (11) is swung clear of the textile and the two cylinders are rotated in opposite directions. USE/ADVANTAGE - The pigment test appts. is simple and can be mfd. at a low cost.
