The tool comprises a long tubular rod (E) with a C profiled mechanism at the top and a handle with a lever (I) at the bottom to control a reel (G). The mechanism consists of a semi circular bracket (C) to hold the branch (R), and a movable curved blade (D) between two guides with a hooked projection (B) shaped in a semi circle to complement the bracket. A cable (F) connects the blade to the reel and when the lever is operated the blade is pulled down to sever the branch. A return spring resets the blade. ADVANTAGE - Relatively thick branches may be cut without difficulty.
