It is already known in the art that pyrimidinyloxy(thio)- and triazinyloxy(or thio)carboxylic acid derivatives exhibit herbicidal and plant-growth-regulatory properties. Some of the prior art active substances with this type of structure have disadvantages in use, however, such as their insufficient selectivity in commercially important cultures. The invention concerns pyrimidinyloxy(thio)- and triazinyloxy(or thio)aldehyde derivatives, which have useful herbicidal properties, of formula (I), in which X, Y, Z, A, R<a> and R<b> are as defined in claim 1. |
