PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device for vehicles, which can minimize driver's troublesomeness caused by a braking operation when adjusting a present car speed to a desired speed by the braking operation under such a condition that the output of a motor is liable to change during the creep running of a vehicle. SOLUTION: During the running of an automobile 1 at a low speed without a demand for running, that is so called creep running, torque (creep torque) for the creep running changes according to the change in the output of an engine 2. When the output of the engine 2 changes while the automobile 1 is running at a specified speed by stepping a brake pedal 8 during the creep running of the automobile 1, the magnitude of a braking force (damping characteristic) caused by stepping the brake pedal 8 of a specified stepping quantity changes according to the change of the output of the engine 2. Through this constitution, according to the change in creep torque caused by the change in the output of the engine 2, the troublesomeness caused by the special depression operation of the brake pedal 8 for maintaining a car speed to a specified value is eliminated.
