PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store a long-sized object such as an umbrella or the like by effectively utilizing a space inside a vehicle cabin in a glove box device for a vehicle. SOLUTION: An extendable/contractible glove box device 9 is arranged between a driver's seat-side seat 1 and a passenger's seat-side seat 2 and on a floor panel 8 under seat cushions 3 and 4. Usually, the space inside the vehicle cabin is not taken by shortening and storing the glove box device 9 under the seat cushions 3 and 4. The long-sized object such as the umbrella K or the like can be stored by extending the glove box device 9 and pulling it out from under the seat cushions 3 and 4. A driver and a passenger are not obstructed by the glove box device 9 even in the pulled-out state since it is arranged between the driver's seat-side seat 1 and the passenger's seat-side seat 2.
