<p>A high-loss rubber composition comprising a rubber component and an aromatic hydrocarbon/formaldehyde resin with a number-average molecular weight of 250 to 700. It maintains characteristics useful for a rubber composition, such as tensile strength, elongation, rebound resilience and permanent compression set, and has a high loss factor and high damping performance. Therefore it is suitable for relieving or absorbing vibrational energy, for example, insulating the vibration of various machines and proofing against earthquakes.</p> |
